Lagoon and Trifid nebulae are very famous and are located in Sagittarius constellation. Both nebulae can be spotted with the naked eye from a dark place and are easy to find with binoculars.

This picture shows these two nebulae in front of a dense field of stars in the Sagittarius arm of our galaxy. The Lagoon Nebula (M8) is the largest (and brightest) located at south of the smaller and colorful Trifid nebula (M20).
