Here's a stunning capture of the Orion Nebula I snapped last Friday at Frosty Drew Observatory in Charlestown, Rhode Island. I hooked up the camera to show off views of the nebula to a group of visitors. The Orion Nebula is the closest star forming nebula to planet Earth at 1500 light years distant. It is also one of two naked eye visible star forming nebula in the Northern Hemisphere, visible as the center star in Orion's sword.
