A little sampling of the nighttime show in central Canterbury. So nice to get away from the light pollution of the cities/towns most of us live in and take in the night time skies. The bright star right of center is Canopus the second brightest in the sky and that cloudy object to the left is a whole other galaxy called the Large Magellanic Cloud containing perhaps 30 billion stars.
