Adam Stuart got this detailed Rosette nebula located in Monoceros constellation. This is a black and white image, because only hidrogen alpha channel has been captures through a special filter (13nm) that avoids light pollution and enhance the contrast of emission nebulae. Inside the nebula it is visible an open cluster known as NGC 2244.

The picture is composed of 14 subframes of 800 seconds of exposition each one. The image resolution is nothing less than 2.75 arcseconds per pixel. This way many fine subtleties may be discovered in this bright nebula.

The most beautiful part are these dark nebulas over the bright one. Nice.
