Larry Owens took this picture with his Celestron C14 at F/62 using a Lumenera camera on 2006-08-26. Uranus is a very difficult planet to capture because is dim and small. It is needed a powerful telescope to spot it as a disk. To get details from its disk is even more difficult because it is a featureless planet in visible light. Voyager 2 revealed that Uranus lacks of cloud bands or storms in visible spectrum.
