Thank you for supporting this wiki project
The Constellation of Orion is one of the most easily recognizable in the night sky. Made up of roughly 10 stars and 3 nebulae, it is also one of the most interesting.

Orion's belt (in the center), is comprised of the stars Al Nitak, Al Nilam and Mintaka, is famously believed to have been the inspiration for the layout of the Great Pyramids (though the theory is still hotly debated). It is also mentioned 3 times in the Bible.

The bright orange star in the center is Betelgeuse, one of the largest stars in the known universe and is over 1200 times the size of our sun. It is expected to go supernova in the not too distant future.
